DOD Industry Day March 9

On March 09, 2023, the Department of Defense will host an Industry Day. The initiative will take place at March Air Field Museum, which is located at 22500 Van Buren Blvd, March Air Reserve Base, CA 92518. Event hours are scheduled from 2:00-4:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST).

The Industry Day will serve as an informational pre-proposal conference primarily concerning the planned construction of a KC-46 Two-Bay Maintenance/Fuel Cell Hangar, for which the Department of Defense later plans to issue a single construction contract solicitation. The eventual contract will require demolition of the existing hangar prior to the new construction. The proposed hangar will be approximately 124,000 sq. ft. upon completion and constructed in accordance with required safety and sustainability features in the contract.

Moreover, the contract calls for both interior and exterior renovation to Building 1244 to support training activities related to the new hangar. This portion of the product will largely focus upon interior remodeling, in addition to demolition and installation where necessary. Related miscellaneous features of the project include associated site utilities, parking and vehicle unloading accommodations, required fencing, lighting, landscaping and airfield pavement markings, among other necessities.
